Scenic Chairlift Riding
The Summit Chair at Hotham is open over the Christmas holiday period from about the 29th December to 6th January, 10.30am - 3.30pm daily. Some argue is the most scenic chairlift riding in the country, right up to an altitude of 1,845m!

There are plenty of camping grounds in the local area. Try JB Plain, Tawonga Huts and the Old Feathertop Hut site all have camping facilities that are more than adequate.

The Great Alpine Road epitomises the saying "take the scenic route". The road passes through farmland valleys, along winding rivers, through the eucalypt forests of the Alpine National Park then deep into mountain cattleman country, to the lakes and the ocean beyond.
